Lahore is a city of historical buildings. This is not wrong to say that Lahore itself is a historical city. Everybody who visits Lahore, must go to visit historical buildings. Last Saturday, we planned out a programme for enjoying outside. We had not seen the tomb of Mughal emperor Jahangir. Jahangir was a famous mughal emperor. So all friends decided that this Jahangir tomb should be visited. In just 45 minutes time we reached there by coaster.
Jahangir’s Tomb is located at Shahdara. This is four miles distance from Lahore city. It is actually located on the other edge or side of the famous river Ravi. It has four big minarets. These can easily be seen from a long distance due to their tallness. The mausoleum is inside a greenish park. The park administration put a high degree of effort to well maintain this park. Thanks to the city Government of Punjab that given strict orders in this regard. There were mango tree all around providing ample shades to the visitors. A fountain at the front of the mausoleum was the main reason of cool breeze.
Finally, we reached the tomb that was our main destination. It is a master piece of art and design. In the inner room great emperor jahangir was sleeping in his grave. We learnt the lesson that only ALLAH is the king of all world and who is immortal. The walls of this room have colorful beautiful designs which was the proof of muslim’s supremacy in the field of arts, design and architecture. In each corner, a minaret exist. This allows full Lahore city view. Everything looked so attractive, beautiful and so amazing. We kept on moving about for quite a while. Now it
was time to go back. We did not feel like coming back but we had to. We came back tired but everyone enjoyed the visit to this historical place very much.
